Cypriot or Canaanite Late Bronze Age pottery jugC53
A fine White Painted Ware pottery jug with a piriform body and pinched spout. The surface is decorated with brown painted patterns and a pair of eyes on either side of the spout. These vessels have been found widely in both Cyprus and the Holy Lands, particularly Megiddo, there is some debate about whether they were produced in Cyprus or Canaan.

Some stress cracks have been stabilised and restored on the body and a small chip restored on the foot; light surface wear as seen in the photographs
