Cypriot fine Bichrome Ware jug with burnished slip surfaceC4
A Bichrome Ware pottery jug with fine painted band decoration. The surface is covered in a white slip which has been carefully line-burnished and is reminiscent of White Shaved Ware, the combination of burnished and painted decoration is unusual in Cypriot pottery and may indicate a date at the start of the Early Iron Age.
