A fine pottery stamnos (open mouthed vase) with two strap handles on the shoulder and grey painted band decoration.

A couple of stabilised hairline cracks on the body and minor chipping
Ex. collection: Mr & Mrs. Healey, Chaucer Lodge, Chaucer Road, Canterbury, UK; acquired mid 20th Century and thence by descent. A photocopy of a letter dated 1972 from the Royal Museum and Public Library, Canterbury, briefly describing this vase and other antiquities from the same collection accompanies the item.
