A large alabaster canopic jar lid decorated with the head of Imsety, the human-headed god and guardian of the liver.

Condition
General wear and minor chipping as seen in the photographs. Mounted into a crude cement base which was previously attached to an exterior brick wall.

Ex. private collection, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, UK; acquired in the late 19th or early 20th Century and subsequently used as a garden ornament.
