Ex. private collection, East Sussex, UK; reputedly acquired from the archaeologist Georges Legrain in Karnak, Egypt c. 1900. It is possible that this bronze originates from Legrain’s discovery of over 18,000 bronzes (known as the Karnak Cachette) which was unearthed in 1903.

This item is accompanied by a photocopy of two short notes by a former owner linking the piece to M. Legrain in Karnak.
