A fragment from a fine cartonnage sarcophagus with polychrome painted decoration on a plaster and linen surface. The decoration depicts a seated god with an Ankh resting on his knees and a sun disc crown over his head. The background consists of a yellow and blue net pattern on a red ground.
Egypt, reputedly from Thebes, Third Intermediate Period, c. 1050-730 BC
