A large squat globular pottery jar with with two pierced tubular lug handles and painted decoration consisting of spirals and wavy lines.

Condition
Surface erosion on the upper body as seen in the photographs, otherwise intact.

Provenance
Ex. private collection, Bedfordshire, UK; acquired mid 20th Century. On one side of the shoulder there is a partial black ink number ending “96” – the script is typical of Egypt Exploration Society (EES) inscriptions of the late 19th or early 20th Century.
