A fine and aesthetically proportioned hardwood head-rest carved in two sections. The upper curved section is attached to the round waisted pillar by a rectangular central tenon and descends to an integral splayed foot.

Intact as shown, very fine condition apart from some small losses around the foot

Ex. collection: Prof. Dr. Roland Bay (1909-1992), Orselina, Switzerland. Collection inventory number under the base: Ae. 806. Accompanied by an export permit issued by the German Ministry of Culture.
