A large carved calcite jar with a wide squat body and curved flanged rim. The round lid is made from polished indurated limestone.

The base has been repaired and contains a small section of restoration (the smallest of the three re-attached pieces), and one third of the rim lip has been restored. A little chipping to the edge of the lid and there is a small blob of old wax on the top (easily removed).
