A sizeable carved alabaster jar with a squat oviform body and curved rim.
The surface patina is extremely smooth and tactile.

One side of body and rim repaired, also a small ancient chip on the side of the rim
Ex. collection: Peter Newall (1946-2018), Dorset, UK; imported into the UK in 1973. Inherited c. 1970 from a South African collection formed between the 1930’s -1960’s.
