A large pottery panatheniac amphora with red figure decoration. Both sides are painted with a naked youth and robed woman holding offerings, the two figures are separated by an altar.
Greek, South Italian colonies, Apulia, 4th Century BC
Extensively restored with large areas of repair, reconstruction and over-painting. The foot and mouth have both been reconstructed in painted plaster.
