Greek Athenian black figure lekythos with athlete decoration

A black figure pottery lekythos decorated with a running athelete flanked by two draped attendants. The shoulder is decorated with a band of five ivy leaves and purple painted highlights can be seen on some of the figure drapery as well as the edge of the lekythos foot.

Mouth lost, otherwise intact apart from the surface discolouration as seen in the photographs

Egyptian sandals

The sandals have just arrived thank you. Unfortunately they don’t fit me so I have put them in my display cabinet where they look amazing along with the rest of my antiquities. Once again thank you and happy Christmas to you both.
