Greek Corinthian pottery kothon with painted decoration

A pottery kothon vase with a single strap handle and ochre and black painted decoration. The inside of the mouth has an inverted rim in order to prevent the liquid contents from spilling. As the majority of these vessels have been excavated at temples it is thought that they contained perfumed oils for dedications or rituals.
