A pale red pottery jug with a beaked spout and slightly compressed globular body set on a flat base. The handle is decorated with a central incised groove.

Crete, Minoan, Middle Minoan Proto-palatial 1B, circa 2000-1800 BC
Size
18.5 x 14.5 cms
Condition
A loss to one side of the spout and a small chip on the tip, general surface accretions as seen in the photographs
Provenance
Ex. private collection, Portugal; acquired in the mid 20th Century and thence by family descent.

Egyptian sandals
