Anatolian Hittite burnished pottery double-spouted jugM52
A brown/ grey burnished pottery jug with a double conjoined spout and an arched handle. The jug stands unsteadily on a narrow pad base suggesting that it was originally placed on a tripod support.
Hittite pottery is little known outside of Anatolia but the quality and repertoire of shapes is no less inventive or fine than the better known wares of Cyprus and the Aegean.
