A large Acheulean type stone bi-facial hand-axe, probably manufactured by Homo Erectus.
Excavations of prehistoric sites in the enormous Rift Valley have identified some of the earliest advanced stone tool-making of mankind.

Ex. deceased estate, Frome, Somerset, UK; acquired in the nid 20th Century and passed down by family descent. A label on one side reads: “Handaxe from Rift Valley (Abbevillian Type) 1.5-2 million”
