Coptic Christian pottery St Menas flaskM8
A pottery ampulla or pilgrim flask, of circular form and moulded to either side with a depiction of St Menas between two camels. These flasks were bought by pilgrims to the shrine of St Menas and contained holy water from a spring at the site.
