A fine dark grey burnished pottery jug with a long flared spout and an arched handle. Where the spout joins the body there is a pierced section for filtering sediment from liquid as it is poured.

Hittite pottery is little known outside of Anatolia but the quality and repertoire of shapes is no less inventive or fine than the better known wares of Cyprus and the Aegean.
