A red slip ware pottery flask with applique decoration on the body.

One side is decorated with a lion mauling a wild boar and the other side depicts a victor’s wreath, a pair of palm fronds frame both sides.

Condition:
Both handles lost otherwise intact apart from a tiny chip on the mouth

Provenance:
Ex. private collection, Paris, France; inherited and formerly acquired in North Africa during the early to mid 20th Century.
