A grey pottery globular pyxis vessel and lid with incised decoration. The side-lugs, rim and lid have been pierced so that the vase could be suspended or carried by a length of chord.

8.5 x 10.3 cms including lid and lug handles

Condition
The body is intact apart from minor chipping, about 1/4 of the lid has been restored (slightly darker section in photos)

Ex. collection: Michel Audiard, France (1920-1985), thence by family descent. A c. 1970’s-80’s label under the base: “G2 068/275”
