A carved alabaster funerary portrait of a man depicted with a long slender neck, incised schematic features and recessed eyes with would originally have been inlaid with dark stone.

The unique style of Sabaean portrait sculpture has been much imitated by modern artists, notably Picasso and Modigliani.
