A very well preserved and clearly inscribed baked clay cuneiform tablet with text to both sides. The inscription reputedly details the names of persons responsible for the maintenance of fallow and cultivated garden plots.


Unfortunately a document translating this text has subsequently been lost.

Condition
Losses to one end as seen in the photographs, also a couple of very minor and stabile cracks

Provenance
Ex. deceased estate, West Sussex, UK; acquired before 1990 from the collection of The Reverend JKL Pearson. JKL Pearson probably acquired his collection of cuneiform texts during World War One while serving with the Indian Army Ordonance Corps in Mesopotamia. This tablet was used for talks and teaching purposes for The Messianic Testimony by the previous owner during the late 20th Century.
