A gold bracelet mounted with a collection of seven scarabs and a steatite cowroid seal. Six of the scarabs are carved from steatite and partially glazed, one scarab is cast from dark blue glass and all have inscribed or decorated bases.

Largest scarab is 1.9 cms, the bracelet is adjustable for wearing between 16.5 and 20 cms long

Condition
The scarabs with chipping and wear, the bracelet is intact and fully wearable

Provenance
Ex. private collection, Paris, France; acquired in Egypt in the 1940’s-1960’s. The gold mounting is not hallmarked but tested as 14 Carat, the workmanship is typical of Cairene jewellers working in the 1940’s-1950’s.
