Provenance
Ex. collection: Victor Brox, UK (1941-2023); acquired on the UK art market from an early 20th Century collection. Mounted on a distressed 19th Century purple cloth coated display stand.
Victor Brox collected several antiquities during his highly influential career as a Blues musician. Brox collaborated with artists including Jimi Hendrix, Keith Moon, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton and Deep Purple. Jimi Hendrix and Tina Turner both cited Brox as their favourite white Blues artist.

Egyptian sandals
