Ex. collection: the painter Louis-Joseph-Raphaël Collin (1850-1916), Paris, France. Acquired in 1911 from Collin by Senator William A. Clark (1839-1925), USA. Bequeathed by Clark to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. in 1925 (deaccession number 26.628). Gifted to and then deaccessioned by the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center, Washington D.C., 2014.
