The major part of royal commemorative inscription brick with six lines of carefully written cuneiform text. Based on textual comparisons we belive this inscription may have been written for king Shilhak-Inshushinak I of the Shutrukid dynasty, considered the last important king of Elam.

Elamite, Middle Elamite period, c. 12th Century BC; probably reign of Shilhak-Inshushinak I (c. 1150-1120 BC)

21 (inscription side) x 14 x 10 cms
Condition
Fragment as seen in the photographs, the visible chips and surface cracks are stabile
Provenance
Ex. deceased estate, Buckinghamshire, UK; discovered by a local auctioneer during a probate clearance in Amersham which also contained some valuable Persian carpets.
