A blue glazed faience shabti figure with moulded details and an incised inscription on the front of the legs reading: “The Osiris, the God’s Servant of Amun, the Scribe of the Divine Offerings of Amun, Montu–hotep”.
The tomb of Montu-Hotep was discovered and excavated for the Egypt Exploration Society by Arthur Cruttenden Mace in 1900. The majority of the shabtis from the tomb were subsequently sold or donated to museums by the Egypt Exploration Fund.
