Ex. estate of Christopher Cone And Stanley J. Seeger, North Yorkshire, UK. Seeger (1930-2011) was an enormously wealthy American art collector who acquired some extraordinary works ranging from Francis Bacon to Picasso to antiquities. Seeger and Cone purchased Sutton Place in Surrey from J P Getty, at the time the most expensive property ever to have been sold in the UK. Cone and Seeger mostly acquired their antiquities at auction in London during the 1970’s-1980’s.
