Ex. private collection, Kent, UK; acquired from Helios Gallery during the past 20 years. Formerly in the collection of Sir Francis Sacheverel-Darwin (1786-1859), probably collected on the Grand Tour between 1808-1810. Sir Francis was a keen antiquarian collector and explorer, he was also the uncle of the naturalist Charles Darwin and scientist Sir Francis Galton.
