Egyptian faience shabti figures on old mount

A collection of three green glazed faience shabti figures with moulded details. The shabti to the right is inscribed with a vertical line of hieroglyphs on the front of the legs, the other two examples are uninscribed.

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 730-332 BC

 Size 
Shabtis: 10.2, 4.5 and 10.1 cms, mount 23 x 17 cms

 Condition
The shabti on the left has been repaired in two places on the legs, the figure on the right is intact as shown and the middle figure is a fragment. All three figures have some minor chipping and have residue of old brown varnish to the surface which can be removed

Provenance 
Ex. private collection, East Anglia, UK; acquired early 20th Century and mounted in the 1930’s-40’s on a custom-made hardwood display stand
