A fragment from a fine terra sigillata (Samian Ware) pottery bowl decorated with hunting dogs pursuing a stag, a lion killing a wild boar, a drama mask and the potter’s signature BVTRIO.

The potter Butrio was active in the Lezoux area of France is the subject of numerous academic articles, his works can be found in numerous museums (see below).
