Provenance
Ex. private collection, Glasgow, Scotland, inherited in 1984 by descent from an early/mid 20th Century family collection. This collection was recorded in 1984/1985 by Judith Swaddling of the British Museum. The collection was also inspected by the Hunterian Museum and National Museum of Scotland, both of whom expressed an interest in acquiring the pieces at the time.
